It’s time to descend into panic mode (or is it not?) – two more weeks to go until we head for France. The date with the removal company has been confirmed, and we only have a bit more than a week to get ourselves sorted. And there is lots of sorting still to be done – the question is: where to start?
The garden is surviving and producing – despite the current neglect (well, at least we are watering on a regular basis). One of the pumpkin plants has gone rampant in the garden, and has set lots of fruit. They will not be ripe, though, before we leave. But that’s fine – a friend of mine is taking over the house, and she is a keen gardener. The veggies will be in good hands, and she is looking forward to having loads of pumpkins.
One by one, the pairs of socks still to be knitted before we leave are being knitted. The kiddies pair is done (size 5, so that went quick). Now another pair of slippers is on the needles, and there is one more pair of kiddies socks to be done afterwards. So by the end of the week, most of knitting stash can be packed away. I still have not decided what to pack into my suitcase – maybe just the needles, there is wool waiting for me on the other side already! And maybe I should use the time to finally get all the unfinished pieces done.
