Gefilztes I / Felted stuff I

I had bought felting wool (SMC Wash+Filz it Stripemix) as a special offer at the wollfactory, and have spent the last evenings knitting it. Yesterday, I felted the first two items (2 felted carriers, pattern here) in the washing maschine, then stretched them over small buckets and let them air dry.

The red basket is wider, as I knitted more rounds for the bottom. The handles are shorter, because I ran out of wool towards the end. The black-and-white backside in the background belongs to one of our dogs.
