Manches… / Some things…

… take a bit longer in this house. I cast on this cardigan in November 2012, and was done with it in January 2013. I just had to sew in the zipper (which I had already bought). As the cardigan was still a bit big then, it passed its time in my knitting basket until a few weeks ago. As I was not really happy with the zipper I had bought, I considered sewing on buttons (but that would have meant to crochet loops as well). Serendipitously, Tina introduced a zipper specifically meant for knitted items. I immediately ordered it, and sewed it in a few days later. As the zipper has a band that is more loosely woven as an ordinary zipper band, it was very easy (and quick) to sew it in by hand with the original yarn and a pointed darning needle. And my daughter left for preschool the next day with a “new” cardigan.

Awww…how cute…and not just the jacket😉 The jacket fits her really well. I like the hoodie and the pattern on the back going all the way up. Was well worth the effort😉

I really liked the pattern – it exists also in baby/toddler size!

Tempting…very tempting😎 I haven’t knitted anything lately😦 With the all day nausea I’m just glad to get done what I need to get done. Edging towards the 2nd trimester where I hopefully will have some relief from it. Is the pattern on Ravelry?

yes, the pattern is on ravelry – here

And it’s a seamless knit, always a bonus in my book.

Great to hear that you are edging towards the 2nd trimester! In theory, the nausea should lessen then, but that’s the theory.

Great! Thanks for the links🙂 And, yes, let’s hope the theory will come true very soon😉
